Okay, I'm sure you've seen the YouTube videos of people playing games on their calculator. The Ti 84 Plus Smartview is a more advanced version of the TI-84 family of graphing calculators released in 2008 by Texas Instruments. It's certainly not surprising that this particular calculator has seen quite a bit of popularity on YouTube because it can offer both standard and more exciting features, some of which are more reminiscent to games found on smartphones or consoles. One such feature is actually something called "multiplayer mode" where two users can connect to each other over Bluetooth and literally compete against another player. This particular feature doesn't really have much to do with games, but it's pretty cool. Another interesting feature of the Ti 84 Plus Smartview is something called "video mode", which is nothing more than a traditional calculator turned into a video camera. This means that you can take pictures or record videos for use with other applications. The video mode isn't just limited to viewing problems on the screen either. It's also possible to export these images in an AVI file format, but I don't think TI has made any efforts to include this feature in the downloadable version of the application. Okay, so these are all interesting features, but are they worth buying? I'm not sure. There are cheaper graphing calculators available which offer similar or even more features. So what makes this particular calculator so popular? Well, I think it's the unique design of the graphing calculator itself. The reason why this gadget is called a "smartview" is because it has a touchscreen display that allows simple interaction with the user. One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people enjoy the fact that it's possible to play games on the device. This might be a selling point because it makes the calculator look more attractive to those who enjoy games, as well as those who are looking for a compatible device for their project. This is certainly a big selling point, but what really makes it special is how durable it really is. Even if you drop this thing from great heights, it will still work flawlessly and do whatever you want to do with it. The one thing that I hate about this calculator is the size of the device. The touchscreen features makes it a lot bulkier and heavier than other graphing calculator models. I'm not sure why TI decided to add these unique features to the calculator, but if you're looking for a calculator with a touchscreen display and video capabilities, definitely check this model out. [NOTE] [NOTE] [NOTE] In order to play games with your Ti 84 Plus Smartview, you must have Bluetooth capability in your system, otherwise it won't work. Also, in order to connect to another system using Bluetooth technology in your computer you will need a compatible Bluetooth adapter. 8eeb4e9f32 56
